Founded by Millie and Shari, passionate dog lovers and proud owners of rescue dogs, we have firsthand experience with the anxiety that can come with leaving your beloved pet in someone else's care.
At Tailwaggers East, we understand that your furry friend is more than just a pet; they are a cherished member of your family. We are here to provide a safe, fun, and loving daycare for small to medium sized dogs ensuring they can socialize, exercise, and receive the care they deserve while you're away. Our playgroups are carefully structured to create a comfortable and enjoyable environment for dogs of similar size. With our experienced team of dedicated professionals, we guarantee a tail-wagging experience for every canine companion.
Millie has been working with dogs for over five years, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Tailwaggers East. Shari, in addition to her experience working with dogs, has also fostered dogs, providing temporary homes and care for those in need. She is currently working towards becoming a qualified dog trainer.
Our team of passionate dog lovers is committed to providing individualized care for each dog. We understand that every dog has unique needs, and we take the time to get to know their personality, preferences, and anxieties to ensure a positive experience.
We have designed our facility with your dog's safety and enjoyment in mind. Our staff ensures a controlled and harmonious play environment. Dogs at Tailwaggers East enjoy not only group play but also energizing dog walks or trips to fenced dog fields to explore the surroundings, zoom around and stretch their legs.
We believe in engaging your dog's mind as well as their body. To provide a mentally stimulating experience, we offer games such as Kong toys, licky mats, and snuffle mats. These activities encourage problem-solving, sniffing, and foraging instincts, keeping your dog entertained and mentally sharp.
We understand the importance of rest and sleep for dogs. Tailwaggers East provides comfortable resting areas for dogs to take a break and relax during their daycare stay. Whether your dog prefers a cozy bed, a quiet corner, or their own space, we ensure they have a peaceful space to rest and recharge.
Dogs are social animals, and we believe in fostering positive interactions. Our carefully supervised play sessions help dogs build confidence, develop social skills, and form lasting friendships with other four-legged companions.
We provide regular updates on your dog's activities, including photos so you can stay connected and feel reassured that your furry friend is enjoying their time with us.
Before enrolling your dog at Tailwaggers East, we require a meet and greet session. This allows us to assess your dog's temperament and ensure compatibility with our daycare environment. It also gives you the opportunity to meet our staff, ask questions, and see firsthand the care and attention we provide. (male dogs must be neutered if over 1 year old)
Our team consists of experienced professionals who are dedicated to providing the highest level of care for your dog. Millie's years of experience working with dogs, combined with Shari's fostering background, ensure that your furry friend is in knowledgeable and loving hands.
When you choose Tailwaggers East, you're not just enrolling your dog in a daycare; you're becoming part of our extended family. At Tailwaggers East, we tailor each day to suit the dogs in our care. We split the group based on energy levels, with some heading out for small group walks in our local parks, while others enjoy off-lead time at a secure, fenced dog field around 30–40 minutes drive away.
Dogs travelling to the field are safely transported in our van, which is equipped with secure crates to ensure comfort and safety throughout the journey. The field is exclusively for our group, giving dogs who usually can’t be off lead the chance to run, play, and explore freely.
Alongside their outdoor adventures, the dogs also enjoy playtime in the daycare, plenty of rest, and feeding time if required.
